Little Pitcher Conch, Common Name Little Bear Conch (Strombus urceus)
Amazing Sand Sifting Clean Up Crew! These buddies are ranked in our #1 for sand cleaners. We recommend using multiple sand conches for large tanks with sand bottoms.
These critters feed on solid organic food, remove detritus, as eat algal films on the seafloor, while shifting the sand and creating a new, fresh clean surface!
Conches are also very enjoyable to watch as they are very active creatures. They are often seen cruising the sand bed during the daytime looking for food, and also occasionally hop around using their powerful foot.
Please keep in mind that due to variances in species, your item may not appear exactly like the one pictured. Individual specimens' approximate size ranges may also differ.
